A: This zine is a digital-only project created specifically to highlight the writers of the fandom, who are often under-appreciated
**Q: What are the rules for applying? **
A: Applicants must be 15+, and both submissions and prompts may not include nsfw content of any nature.
Q: Can artists apply?
A: Absolutely! There will be title and spot artist openings to highlight and complement each piece of featured writing
Rules and Guidelines
**Rules: **
- Links to at least ONE social media profile you actively use is required! Accepted social medias are: Tumblr, Instagram, and Twitter.
- All examples MUST be entered into their corresponding fields and be accessible. Failure to link accessible examples will result in being dropped from consideration for the zine! (For Google Drive examples, make sure to set access to ‘anyone with a link’ before copying the link).
- NO NSFW, PROSHIP, OR MATURE TOPICS! Mature topics include: extreme violence, extreme gore, su1c1d3, self-harm, addiction, drug abuse, alcoholism, etc.
- Racism, homophobia, transphobia, antisemitism, acephobia, slurs, any kind of phobia under the sun will not be tolerated.
- Mods reserve the right to strike any applicant from consideration for inappropriate and rude behavior towards others.
- This zine is for ages 15 and up. Anyone below the age of 15 will be automatically rejected from the zine.
- Please keep in mind that working on this project will require collaboration between artists and writers. If you do not want to collaborate and want to work alone instead, this zine is not for you.
- And of course, as this is an Amphibia zine, works involving Amphibia as the main focus will be required. Please refer to the writer or artist guidelines for the specifics!Writer Guidelines:
- Three examples are required! Accepted links are: Google Docs/Drive, Archive of Our Own, Fanfiction.Net, Wattpad, Tumblr, Dreamwidth, and .txt files. AO3, Google Drive, and Tumblr are preferred!
- At least one example MUST be Amphibia related!
- Two examples MUST be excerpts from fics between a 500-1500 word count range!
- One examples MUST be a full fic, with no word limit. The zine’s word limit will be 3000 words, so it is heavily recommended to use a fic with this word count, but not required!
- Collaboration with an artist WILL be required on the zine, so if you are not willing to work with one then you will be dropped from consideration for the zine.
- Writers will be pitching minimum TWO fic ideas for the zine in applications! While ships will be allowed (Sashannarcy, Sashanne, Marcanne, Sasharcy, etc), it is encouraged that pitches vary! As such, we are asking that at least one pitch be not ship-focused and spread out to different ideas. But if you want to throw in a little wink to these ships… we totally aren’t looking.
- THERE IS NO LIMIT OUTSIDE OF THE GENERAL RULES FOR PITCHES! AU, romance, fluff, general, found family, angst, character pieces, etc are all accepted! We heavily discourage direct crossovers outside of AU premises, like the official Owlphibia crossover panel where Anne and Luz meet. We won’t throw you in the brig for a cheeky nod to ‘GIRL STUCK IN FROG LAND! HOAX?’ or other characters.

- Three examples are required! We are accepting example links from: Google Drive, Tumblr, Instagram, and Twitter.
- Two examples must be Amphibia related!
- One example must be character art, with a focus on expression and posing. How silly do you draw your characters? How expressive are they? Can you tell a story in a single pose?
- Two examples must be fully illustrated. This involved minimum one character fully colored and rendered against a fully colored and detailed background.
- Portfolios are optional but highly encouraged! We accept Google Drive folders or a professional website as a portfolio.
- Collaboration with a writer will be required to work on the zine, as well as making a minimum of two pieces. Anyone who does not want to collaborate will be removed from consideration for the zine.
- General rules apply! No NSFW, proship, or mature content will be accepted and result in an instant blacklist.
